Perfect Imperfect Love was inspired by acknowledging that the imperfections of a thing can make it perfect. The quince framing the words were drawn from the huge pile of quince gifted me recently and turned into quince jelly. It was the first time I'd used these fruit, and I was surprised by their insides and texture, so had to do a little research...
Quince are surrounded by stories and mythology. It's possible that the golden apple that sparked the fall of Troy, was actually a quince. There is also a theory that the 'apple' handed to Adam by Eve was also a quince. It seemed that this fruit, full of contradictions is ideal to show perfect imperfect love.
The eight pointed stars represent balance in alchemy.

The blocks are printed on a small hand press onto 130g Snowdon cartridge which is a lovely soft white with slight texture.
