Hawthorn Lock is a mini lino print featuring delicate hawthorn branches, berries and a flower together with a heart-shaped padlock, blending nature and symbolism. Hawthorn is often called the "fairy tree," and has been seen as an opening between worlds—a gateway to the unknown. It's also traditionally associated with protection, especially of the heart; hawthorn is believed to guard against harm. The heart padlock inbetween the thorns represents the keys we carry to unlock love and healing. This would make a great gift to show friendship or for someone who needs support or encouragement.
This is an open edition, hand printed from a hand carved lino block, printed on a beautiful Fab Unica textured 250gsm, heavy paper which is a lovely soft white, and printed in classic black. The art is mounted ready for you to frame in your own frame.

Prints and colour may have subtle variation due to the hand made nature of the printing process which makes each print one of a kind. The small marks and flecks of the print are known as ‘chatter’ and are characteristic of linocuts.
