Frogs have long been a recurring symbol in fairytales and folklore, with many different meanings. Often seen as a symbol of fertility alongside birch and cow parsley, the folklore is woven into fairytales of disguised princes. My garden teams with little frogs hiding in the long grass on their way to the brook, so this one found its way into ‘Frog Fable’. The design saw a couple of changes to the surround before settling on this frame.
This original signed, limited edition of just 20 is hand printed from a hand carved lino block on 130g Snowdon cartridge which is a lovely soft white with slight texture, this is a two block image in complementary shades of deep forest green and pea green.
This 7x5” image is mounted into a 10x8” Larson-Juhl acid-free bevel edge mount in Snow White, ready for you to frame in a standard 10x8” frame. The mount is complete with an acid-free backing board, and will be delivered to you in a protective cellophane wrapper complete with Raw Alchemy branding, making it ideal for gifting. Frame not included.
