Fireside Stories evokes winter story telling by the fire, with candles and fairylights glowing. As soon as Autumn starts to set in I'm thinking about the dark winter evenings with time spent with the family. My kids are less interested in storytime these days, but when they were young hot chocolate and story were part of the evening ritual. There's something magical about sharing stories by the fire, and it's a part of the winter season of festivities for our family. The print is signed and titled, in an open edition.
This is an open edition of an original hand printed image from a hand carved lino block, printed on 130g Snowdon cartridge which is a lovely soft white with slight texture, printed in classic black and white.

Prints and colour may have subtle variation due to the hand made nature of the printing process which makes each print one of a kind. The small marks and flecks of the print are known as ‘chatter’ and are characteristic of linocuts.
