“Blackthorn” features twinning branches of blackthorn with its sharp, dark thorns intertwined with delicate blossoms. The pair of hares dance through the blossoms whilst a hand mirror rests on the ground, its reflective surface catching the light - all symbols that suggest either luck or misfortune according to different folktales. The scene feels enchanted, a balance of nature's beauty and the forces of fate.
This is a signed original limited edition of 20 hand printed from a hand carved lino block, printed on 130g Snowdon cartridge which is a lovely soft white with slight texture, printed in cornflower blue on white. The art is mounted ready for you to frame in your own frame.

Prints and colour may have subtle variation due to the hand made nature of the printing process which makes each print one of a kind. The small marks and flecks of the print are known as ‘chatter’ and are characteristic of linocuts.
