Tick Tock shows dandelions in all their stages of growth with an old pocket watch. Seeing the dandelion seeds drifting in sunlight still reminds me of standing in tall grasses as a young child, with my granny telling me to blow on the seed heads to tell the time. The number of puffs it took to clear all the seeds would tell the hour of the day! Great as a gift to mark passing of time - an anniversary, birthday perhaps.
This original edition of Tick Tock is printed in a warm rich rusty orange and is limited to just 30 prints. Hand printed from a hand carved lino block on 130g Snowdon cartridge which is a lovely soft white with slight texture.
This 7x5” image is mounted into a 10x8” Larson-Juhl acid-free bevel edge mount in Snow White, ready for you to frame in a standard 10x8” frame. The mount is complete with an acid-free backing board, and will be delivered to you in a protective cellophane wrapper complete with Raw Alchemy branding, making it ideal for gifting. Frame not included.
Prints and colour may have subtle variation due to the hand made nature of the printing process which makes each print one of a kind. The small marks and flecks of the print are known as ‘chatter’ and are characteristic of linocuts.
